To help educate the community about the importance of proper diabetes management, The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation, South Fork Community Health Initiative and Southampton Hospital will sponsor a Diabetes Awareness Health Fair in recognition of National Diabetes Awareness Month.

Educational information on detection and prevention will be available, and other highlights will include free glucose, total cholesterol, blood pressure and HIV screenings. Qualified attendees will also have the opportunity to sign up for food stamps and HEAP, a home heating assistance program. Healthy refreshments will be served.
